Usually. Most homes there sit on slabs, and the old floor comes up before the plank goes down. Earlier remodels can leave layers, height changes at doorways or tile that runs under cabinets, and the installer checks all of that at the measurement. If you're in a condo, bring your association's flooring rules too.
We live on acreage near Kenansville. Do you come out that far?
